A recreation of the traditional butter churn design in Sterling Silver and Ivorine, a man-made ivory substitute used for nearly a century by jewellers, fishing reel and billiard ball and cue makers.

Inside there’s a modern and durable stainless steel mechanism that can be adjusted to give a fine to coarse grind.

The result is an attractive salt or pepper grinder that makes a beautiful gift or a special present to yourself.

You can personalise this mill by having the bottom silver band engraved with a name, date and/or message.

About our silver

Our Sterling Silver is of 'sterling standard', i.e. 92.5% pure silver (alloyed for strength with a small proportion of copper).

The standard is guaranteed (as all English silver must be) by the hallmark or stamp that each piece carries. The testing and hallmarking is carried out by the Assay Office - showing from left to right: the maker's mark, the Assay Office mark (a rose symbolising Sheffield), a lion (symbolising 92.5% silver purity), and a year of manufacture letter.
